23 August 2010
The De Graaf family, owners of campsite 't Woutershok was recently paid a surprise visit by Rob Geus and his camera team from the well known Dutch tv programme ‘Save my holiday'
In contrary to the name of the programme, Rob Geus did not come to save a holiday but to film an item about the state of sanitary facilities on Dutch and Belgian campsites. And as Geus said ‘Texel had to be included'.
After a thorough inspection of the sanitary pavilion and after interviewing a number of guests, Geus came to the conclusion that the whole campsite and the sanitary facilities were well kept and clean. The TV presenter said: ‘I've visited many campsites but have not yet seen another campsite which is so clean and tidy as 't Woutershok. I don't need to worry about this place'. He awarded the campsite a 9 out of 10. Geus: ‘not a 10, because the extractor fans were not completely dust free. But for the rest everything looked very well kept.
The surprised De Graaf family is pleased with the score. This confirms the ANWB's score, which was a 9,4 for the sanitary facilities. Woutershok received an overall rating of 9,5 and is in the top 4 of the best campsites in The Netherlands. ‘Hygiene is one of the most important issues for our business. The first things the guests look at is whether the toilets and showers are clean' says Ricardo de Graaf from 't Woutershok. The cleaning is done with utmost care.
