Self-catering?

Texel offers plenty of choice for eating with a group.
There are plenty of picnic spots for groups on Texel if you prefer to organise your own food and drinks.

BBQ places
There are also special BBQ places , to enjoy a groups picknick outdoors on Texel. Alongside de Randweg between De Koog and Den Hoorn lies the woodland of De Dennen. There are three barbecues here which you can use free of charge and prepare your own diner in a beautiful setting. Do this safely:  the fire regulations state that you can only use charcoal (which you have to bring yourself!). The Dutch forestry commission Staatsbosbeheer (SBB) has created facilities for visitors, such as foot and cycles paths and bridleways, play areas and picnic places.  There are also facilities available for groups with people with special needs, such as barbecue places.
