Ferry and transport
A double-decker ferry leaves from Den Helder every hour. The crossing lasts under half an hour; bookings are not possible and not necessary. Crossings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday offer reduced fares. Take a look at their site www.teso.nl.

The ferry leaves Texel on the hour and Den Helder on the half hour; the first boat to Texel leaves at 6:00 a.m. on weekdays and the last boat leaves from Den Helder at 9:30 p.m.

Train/Bus
You take the train to Den Helder. There is a bus from the train station in Den Helder to the ferry harbour every 12 minutes after the hour (number 33). This provides you with a direct connection to the boat for Texel. If you wish to travel further by bus on Texel, you can have your bus ticket stamped in Den Helder for the number of zones to your final destination. Parking on Texel
On the 1st of January 2012, the Municipality of Texel is introducing a parking vignette.
The Texel vignette and the parking card allow you to park on paid parking and zone parking spots on Texel. Simply stick your parking vignette on your windscreen. The parking card is allocated to a registration plate and a name. There are different parking cards for different parking categories. The Texel vignette and the parking card are valid for one calendar year.
