This year sees the fifteenth edition of Texel Culinair, held from 13 to 15 September, in De Koog. This year's theme is 'foodswap'!

Culinary delights

In 3 days, around 100 different little dishes will be produced by the head chefs of around 20 Texel restaurants, beaneries, pubs and catering companies.

As a visitor, you can fully enjoy these culinary delights in the Dorpsstraat of De Koog for three days. This weekend the Kôgertjes (coins) are the payment method. For each participant, at least 1 dish of 1 cup (worth € 2.25) is available.


Texel Culinair responds to the trend of food swap that came over from Brooklyn: preparing a "different way" of eating, in which an ingredient is replaced by another, healthier, alternative.

De prijsuitreiking

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday evening. Use of this culinary battle: who creates the most beautiful dish with typical Texel ingredients? Last year BOSQ became the overall winner! The jury of Texel Culinair awards different culinary awards to the participating restaurants: the best dish, the best participant and the best theme dish.
