Wad hopping

18 January 2018

Wad hopping from one island to the next. All five islands are interconnected between May and mid September. Wad hopping is a unique way to discover all Wadden islands and the Wadden area. You won't get a better opportunity to enjoy a close encounter with the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, the biggest, and one of the most important nature reserves of Western Europe.

On your own

Wad hopping can be done individually. During summer peak season, ferry services are operating between all five islands. Use a taxi service or bike to get from and to the harbor, and soak up all the beautiful things each island has to offer. Schedules can vary, depending on the conditions, tide and how busy it is. Bookings are recommended. Make sure you get all the information you need when you go Wad hopping on your own.
