Location
Boutique Apartments Koogerend are located on the edge of Den Burg, the largest village on Texel. It is about a 5-minute walk to the lively centre with a mix of well-known retail chains and special shops, restaurants and historic buildings. Every Monday morning there is a weekly market on the Groeneplaats. Around Den Burg you will find a beautiful cultural-historical landscape with sheep pens and garden walls. There are various hiking trails here. Den Burg is also a great starting point for cycling tours across the island. From the hotel you can cycle to the North Sea beach in about 20 minutes.

The story of Boutique Apartments Koogerend began at the end of 2022 when two enterprising sisters from North Holland bought a monumental farm with B&B in the picturesque painters' village of Bergen. Their passion for hospitality was ignited and brought them to the wonderful Wadden island of Texel, where they also like to visit with their families. A unique opportunity brought them to this place in 2023, where the metamorphosis started in the autumn of 2024 and the doors will open for the first four luxury apartments in the summer of 2025. That is what we have in mind with Koogerend; a home-away-from-home, where we ensure that your stay will be as carefree as possible. We would like to welcome you to this unique place on the beautiful Texel.
Tips from the host
From Koogerend you are in the middle of nature in no time. Rent a bike and discover the island via the many beautiful cycle paths. Within fifteen minutes you are on the beach or in the nature reserve De Hoge Berg - perfect for a morning walk between sheep and tree banks. In the mood for culture? Visit the cozy center of Den Burg with nice shops, terraces and markets. Or take the children to Ecomare to see seals up close. Want to go for another walk in the evening? The sunset at Paal 17 is always magical!
