Uilenbos holiday homes are peacefully situated on the outskirts of De Koog. A 5-minute walk takes you to the charming village center of this seaside resort, with its charming shops, inviting terraces, cafés, and restaurants. The expansive North Sea beach is a 10-minute walk away. The forest is part of the Dunes of Texel National Park, which stretches from the southern tip to the lighthouse in the north. It's a wonderful place for walking and cycling. The De Nederlanden nature reserve is very close by. Its convenient location on the island makes De Koog an excellent starting point for exploring Texel. Various attractions, including riding stables, museums, and an indoor swimming paradise, are nearby.

Tips from the host
From Het Uilenbos, you can easily discover the best of Texel. Take a walk through the Texel dunes, enjoy the beach at Paal 20 or Paal 21, and visit the charming center of De Koog with its lovely shops and terraces. A bike ride across the island is also highly recommended – along the way, you will pass nature reserves, viewpoints, and cozy villages. End the day with dinner or a drink in one of the atmospheric restaurants in our hotel or nearby.
