This holiday home is located against an old boulder clay ridge in the picturesque Den Hoorn. Via a staircase you have direct access to the Hoge Achterom, a street on the north side of the village. The bedrooms of your holiday home offer a breathtaking view over the Texel landscape and the famous white church of Den Hoorn. The village has a lot to offer when it comes to art, culture and culinary enjoyment. Within walking distance you will find several restaurants, galleries and a butcher shop with Texel specialties. There is a bicycle rental company opposite your parking lot. In the extensive dune area that borders Den Hoorn you can enjoy walking and cycling. Behind the dunes, a 10-minute bike ride away, the wide North Sea beach is waiting for you. The jungle-like dune area De Geul and the sandbank De Hors are in the vicinity.

Tips from the host
Texel's beautiful nature island offers summer and winter a diversity of kilometers of walking and cycling paths along nature reserves dunes, water and forest areas. Highly recommended for the whole family is “Landgoed De Bonte Belevenis” near the picturesque village of Den Hoorn. Various crafts are located in two atmospheric barns, such as: a soap factory, a beer brewery, a paper maker, a bakery, a candle factory and a distillery. The craftsmen demonstrate how the different products are made. Guided tours take place a few times a day in the brewery and distillery where they explain in a fun way how beers, whiskey, liqueurs and herb bitters are made. Outside you can enjoy the farm animals, the playground, the picnic meadow, the herb and vegetable garden. In the cozy tearoom it is possible to enjoy, among other things, homemade honest products from the own bakery and enjoy the unique view. In short, you will not get bored on Texel!
