The new Eilandhotel Texel is located in the Eierland polder, in the northern part of Texel. It offers expansive views over the fields. De Cocksdorp is 4 kilometers away, and the picturesque village of Oosterend is 6 kilometers away. Both villages are easily accessible by bike, offering shops and restaurants. In the northern part of Texel, you can also enjoy the rugged dunes, part of the Dunes of Texel National Park, and the De Slufter nature reserve, where the sea has free rein. The inner garden of the Eilandhotel brings nature from outside to inside and forms the atmospheric heart of the hotel. All rooms of the hotel are directly adjacent to the garden. This atmospheric place of 10 by 18 meters has a glass roof and cozy seating areas. The swimming pool of the hotel (open from 09:00 to 21:30) is the perfect place to completely unwind. The water temperature is 30° degrees Celsius. The wellness facilities of the hotel consist of a traditional Finnish sauna (80-100°C) and a Turkish steam bath (45-50°C). After a wellness session, it is wonderful to relax in the relaxation room. Restaurant Julia’s forms the culinary heart of Eilandhotel Texel. Here you can enjoy delicious dishes, prepared with local and seasonal ingredients. You can also rent bicycles at the Eilandhotel.

Behind this beautiful four-star hotel is the Rienks family, who brought this special project to life with passion and perseverance. Jan Boyen and Marike are the driving forces behind the Eilandhotel. Together, they are an energetic and dedicated duo who, along with a fantastic team, work every day to create a unique experience for their guests. Jan Boyen knows the business inside and out. As the owner of Paracentrum Texel & Tessel Air, he's busy every day in the skies of Texel. Marike met Jan Boyen at the Paracentrum. As part of her studies, she worked in various hospitality businesses. She jumped at the opportunity to take on this project. They also have two sweet daughters who are more than happy to help out at the hotel. Julia, the eldest of the couple, will often be found at Julia's restaurant. It's probably in the name! Vieve loves to splash around in the pool, but afterward, he often takes a peek in the kitchen. Because where there's ice cream, there's Vieve!
Tips from the host
Besides a wonderful stay in the Eilandhotel, there is of course much more to do on Texel. Besides giving guests a warm welcome, we get our pleasure from doing sightseeing flights above Texel and of course parachuting. It is a party to visit the Paracentrum on a beautiful summer day or perhaps even take the plunge yourself!
