Location

The Wadden side of Texel exudes a completely different atmosphere than the dune-rich west side. It is an oasis of peace and space. Nature and bird lovers end up in paradise here. Along the Waddendijk are various special nature areas that form an important breeding and foraging area for countless birds. From the dyke you have an excellent view of the nesting waders, large terns and the Wadden Sea World Heritage. Bed and breakfast Mare Nostrum is quietly located between nature reserves. The Sea room is located on the ground floor and offers a view of the pasture with horses. At a few hundred meters from this bed & breakfast you will find the beautiful polder mill Het Noorden. The picturesque Oosterend with picturesque alleys and streets is 4.5 kilometers away.

Mooie rustige plek.

Een warm ontvangst door Anne. Het is schoon en verzorgd. Het bloemetje en flesje wijn op tafel was attent. Ontbijt is goed. De bedden sliepen heerlijk.

Zeer goed bevallen

Zeer hatelijk ontvangen door gastvrouw Anne. Heel fijne en rustig landelijk gelegen B&B. Prima ontbijt, met verse afgebakken broodjes en gebracht op afgesproken tijd. Ook kennis gemaakt Marcel (de man van Anne). Marcel is een bevlogen wadden gids, en geeft excursies, wat zeker een aanrader is als je meer van het wad te weten wilt komen. Komen hier zeker nog eens terug. Mvg, Andy en Marjolein.

Introduce

I discovered Texel during a rehabilitation period, after which I annually enjoyed the nature of the island with my family. In 2005 I bought a cute wadden bungalow at the mudflats. The extension was completed in 2009, which would later become B&B Mare Nostrum in 2015. How nice that other people can now also enjoy this beautiful spot on Texel on the mudflats.
