The Hideaways are located in a sustainable, luxurious wooden barn house and are fully equipped: Wi-Fi, TV, underfloor heating, comfortable mattresses, a cozy duvet, a walk-in shower, and a private outdoor area including an outdoor shower (hot and cold). And don't forget, upon arrival, a generously stocked breakfast box with plant-based ingredients, so you can prepare your own breakfast for the first two or three days. Just outside your Hideaway, in the pantry, you'll find your own coffee station, crockery, cutlery, and a small refrigerator. Drinks and savory and sweet snacks are available at the Honesty Bar. Need to heat up something to eat? There's a combination microwave. Or order a The Good Quiche or a main course soup upon request. In short: if you don't want to leave the house, you don't have to, and you'll have something delicious to eat upon arrival! Enjoy your Hideaway or your private terrace overlooking the meadows, or relax on one of the communal seating areas in the butterfly garden, where you can enjoy a wonderful breeze.

Location
Silver Garden is a small-scale B&B in the heart of Texel, nestled in a peaceful, rural setting. There are two unique hideaways overlooking the expansive landscape. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet, and nights ablaze with thousands of stars. Upon arrival, a well-stocked breakfast box with plant-based spreads will be waiting for you, from which you can prepare your own breakfast for the first two or three days. From here, you can walk straight past meadows with horses, cows, and sheep. Or grab a bike and explore the island. Oosterend, a village with picturesque streets and old facades, is a 10-minute bike ride away. The beach is an 8-km bike ride away. The green Wadden Sea side of Texel exudes a different atmosphere than the west and north sides of the island and can be reached in 15 minutes by bike. Along the dike are important breeding and foraging areas for countless birds. Silver Garden's grounds offer several cozy private seating areas. The courtyard garden is a delightful lounge area, home to butterflies and ladybugs, among other species. Each Hideaway has its own private terrace and outdoor shower with hot and cold water (March-November).

The rooms are suitable for a maximum of two adults. Sleeping is in the integrated open sleeping loft. The Hideaways are not equipped for children or pets, and unfortunately, they cannot be brought along.

The views of the duck decoy, the expansive farmland with horses and sheep, will take your breath away. Silver Garden is situated at the end of a road where a stunning sunset surprises you every day and the stars illuminate the night. Magical moments that I would love to share with you. I hope Silver Garden can be a place for you to enjoy the peace and quiet and explore the beautiful island of Texel. I would love to welcome you to one of our unique Hideaways, where a surprisingly well-stocked plant-based breakfast box will be waiting for you upon arrival, and you can prepare your own breakfast at your own time. Tips from the host
The best way to discover Texel is by cycling or walking. You will visit the most beautiful places on the island! Texel has more than 140 km of cycle path, along dunes, forests and of course the beach. Would you rather walk? Nowhere in the Netherlands will you find such a varied landscape in such a small area! Silver Garden is located between Oosterend and De Waal, from where you can easily reach the Waddendijk. You cycle a little longer to the North Sea with its beautiful beaches and breathtaking walks through the dunes. On Texel you will find cozy villages spread between no fewer than 40 nature reserves. You will find special plants, just as many sheep as people and no other place in the Netherlands is better for bird watchers than on Texel! On a good day you can easily spot more than a hundred species, including the marsh harrier, little tern and spoonbill. Every season has its own magic on Texel. De Slufter is the most famous nature reserve on Texel. It is a large salt marsh plain between two sand dikes. Twice a day the creeks fill with salty seawater at high tide. Come early or a little later in the day and you will have the Slufter all to yourself. The region between Den Hoorn, Den Burg, Hoge Berg, De Waal and Oosterend is the oldest part of Texel and that is why we call it 'the old country'.
