Farm campsite Slufterhoeve is rurally located in the northwest of the holiday island of Texel. On this side of the island you will find the unique nature reserve De Slufter. This large salt marsh area has an open connection with the North Sea. At high tide, the creeks in the area flood and De Slufter fills up. De Muy nature reserve is adjacent. Several hiking trails run through these areas for hours of fun. By following the cycle path along the Zanddijk and by following the Eierlandse Duinen nature reserve you will arrive at the icon of Texel: the lighthouse. The beach around the lighthouse is impressively wide and offers a great view of the Wadden and North Sea. The pleasant village of De Cocksdorp is located 5 kilometers away.
