At the end of the road is the De Slufter nature reserve, the only area in the Netherlands where the sea flows freely. Paracentrum Texel organizes sightseeing flights over the island, just 2 kilometers from your holiday home. Texel's youngest village, De Cocksdorp, is just over 3 kilometers away. Special about this accommodation
The holiday home will be made more sustainable in the coming period with, among other things, solar panels and a solar water heater. The garden is also becoming increasingly natural; we mow less, let nature take its course more, and plant more native shrubs and trees. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. Important to know
We love peace and quiet and welcome guests who, like us, are peace seekers. After 10:00 PM, it is wonderfully quiet here. Young people aged 20 and under are only welcome if parents are present for the entire stay. Our entire premises are smoke-free.

Introduce
We have been living on beautiful Texel with our dog Ollie since early 2026, where we rent out two holiday accommodations. We love nature and the peace and space of the island. And the silence and darkness at night. We enjoy sharing this with our guests.
Tips from the host
The chalet is located 2.5 km from De Slufter, a unique and bird-rich salt marsh landscape. On Texel, you will find plenty of nature reserves, from the Waalenburg bird sanctuary to the Dennen forests. In the enormous Dunes of Texel National Park, you can walk from the lighthouse in the north to the Horsmeertjes in the south via the vast beaches and rolling dunes. And be sure not to forget the Wadden Coast.
