The church dating from 1719 is located in the middle of the seaside resort of De Koog. De Koog has undergone an unprecedented transformation over time, the church and the farm next to the church (both national monuments) have remained. Right behind the Protestant church is 'De Schuilhut'. This church is one of the three churches of the Protestant (PKN) municipality of Waal, Koog, Den Hoorn.
