Thursday, Oct. 6 to Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 For nearly 30 years, "De Vermaning" was the studio of Henk Noorlander (1948-2020). Workshop and exhibition space of paintings, drawings, etchings and bottle mail. His work is very varied and multifaceted; hardly conceivable that it was created by one man. Making money did not interest him. He preferred to give away his work or send it as bottle mail to unknown destinations. On Texel he became 'world famous'. Now a nostalgic look back. The work is for sale (while supplies last). Times: open daily from 6 to 13 October 2022 from 10 am to 6 pm (except Sunday afternoon, when there is a theater performance).

This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
