Sunday 21 August 2022 The Vespucci Quartet, a permanent fixture in string quartet country for years, plays in the Hoornder church on Texel. With a beautifully contrasting program the string players show what they have to offer. The world of the 'father of the string quartet' Joseph Haydn is opposed to the work of the man who gave the string quartet meaning in the twentieth century, Dimitri Shostakovich. An impressive journey from Haydn's apparently light-footed Lark Quartet to the occasionally dark melancholy of Shostakovich's Third String Quartet. Times: 14.30 - 15.45. There is no break. Cost: € 19.00 adult. Younger up to 30 years € 9.00. Children up to 12 years old are free. Tickets are available, click on 'Buy tickets' to book or visit the Texel Tourist Information store.
