Restaurant Wambinge

Restaurant Wambinge is named after Texel's oldest village. Characteristic are the warm atmosphere and the beautiful location on the water. Here you can still clearly taste the heart for authenticity. The power of simplicity translates into tasty dishes. Restaurant Wambinge uses a classic French-Italian cuisine in which the Texel product reigns supreme. Naturally, they allow the seasons to play a role in the dishes that are served. You can enjoy 3 to 7-course menus or make your own choice from the frequently changing seasonal menu. Whatever your wishes, a pleasant and culinary evening will be provided. From an intimate dinner for two to an extensive family dinner or buffet. Chef Valentijn Hillen: “In our restaurant you can enjoy tasteful, original dishes in a relaxed atmosphere in which the Texel product reigns supreme. We have classic French-Italian cuisine. In New Zealand and as a sous chef on the Holland-America line, I learned a lot from Asian cuisine. I apply influences from this fusion cuisine every now and then. I also enjoy working with crustaceans and shellfish. Our bouillabaisse, for example, has a Texel twist by adding Wadden shrimp and other local fish species.”
