Just outside Den Burg, near a fruit orchard, is the small-scale holiday park Hof van Texel. Because of its location, centrally on the island, this is a great starting point to explore Texel. It is a 10-minute walk to the center of Den Burg, Texel's largest village. Here you will find cozy shops, terraces, cafes and restaurants. From the Hof van Texel you can enjoy cycling and walking through the rural surroundings and the Hoge Berg area. The smallest village of De Waal is 3 kilometers away and the harbor town of Oudeschild and the Wadden Sea are about 5 kilometers away. In half an hour you cycle to the vast North Sea beach on the west coast of Texel. Here is also the protected nature reserve National Park Duinen van Texel.
