The Gault&Millau 2019 guide was published yesterday. Four Texel restaurants have been included in this culinary guide, each in a terrific position. The top of Dutch gastronomy is presented in this guide. Restaurants can earn a maximum of 20 points.
Bij Jef takes the top spot for Texel with 17.5 points, which puts it in the Absolute Top of the Netherlands, a select group of 36 restaurants. What’s more, last month, this Michelin-starred restaurant in Den Hoorn was voted ‘Restaurant of the Year’ by online platform Proefschrift.
With 13 points, fish restaurant 't Pakhuus also received a glowing review by the jury.
The remaining two Texel restaurants listed in the culinary guide are Eilandkeuken and Rebecca.
