Big fan of Christmas markets? During the festive month of December, there are several charming markets on Texel, filled with Christmas spirit! We listed them for you below.
The Oosterend market is an annual tradition. The picturesque streets around the church are lined with stalls selling Texel products, homemade items and delicious treats. Doughnut balls are made in the square and there is live music in the church. More info >
Maartenhuis is given a real Christmas makeover. Complete with Christmas stalls and the smell of hot chocolate, of course! Most of the items have been made by the residents of (sheltered housing and workshop) Maartenhuis. Do take a look around the living nativity scene and enjoy the choir music. More info >
Santa is visiting Den Burg! He will tour the centre in his reindeer sleigh. The shops will be open on these two days. So, instead of strolling around Christmas stalls, you can have a good browse in the cosy shops. Also, head to Stenenplaats for some hot chocolate and mulled wine. More info >
This indoor Christmas market is held at Eierlandsche Huis. Residents of De Cocksdorp offer their products on stalls and blankets. Visitors are treated to a free hot chocolate. More info >
