    A Georgian cemetery was set up in 1945 in the Hoge Berg area. This cemetery is freely accessible. The Georgian uprising in 1945 is also called 'Europe's last battlefield'. This is due to the fact that on Texel there was fighting until May 20, 1945. In this last uprising 565 Georgians were killed, they were buried at the Georgian cemetery Loladze on the Hoge Berg.
