In the north of Texel, in the Eierland polder, you can discover the work of the artist couple Niek Welboren and Kerstin Edelmann. They present their work in the Island Gallery, this is the longest existing exhibition space for art on Texel.
Niek and Kerstin present drawings, paintings and ceramic objects. Ceramics are also presented in an original way in the organically designed garden. The coastal landscape is a source of inspiration for both artists. They each translate the timeless elements that surround the island: water, clouds, wind and currents in paint or clay in their own way.
In addition, the monumental building honors the school and polder history with a collection in the Historisch Lokaal. A visit to the Island Gallery is a surprising experience!
