In the context of 'Museum Kaap Skil Verlicht Thuis' they organize an online workshop 'making a ship's lantern' with artist Paulien Valk. The lantern's design is based on the ancient ship's lantern that surfaced at the Palmhout wreck. This shipwreck at the bottom of the Wadden Sea is famous for its 17th-century silk dress found there. Paulien explains step by step how to make a simplified version of a ship's lantern from a sheet of plywood. Some experience with scroll saws is useful. Will you join?
Organizer: Museum Kaap Skil
Location: the workshop can be followed free of charge from Monday via the museum's Facebook page, website and YouTube channel: www.youtu.be/Z9Cfb_wNLe0
