The Rigel (named after a ship that ran aground in 1986) is a cozy tent where you can enjoy a pleasant stay. You can use the heated and clean sanitary facilities of the small campsite. There's a camp kitchen and refrigerator, and a small heater for colder days. We offer a bread service for breakfast with freshly baked rolls.

Special about this accommodation
Lots of peace and space and the beach nearby. Cars must be parked within walking distance in the car park behind the campsite and there is plenty of room for children to play. Play equipment and a large sandbox are located centrally on the site. The Compass has its own entrance to get to the tent on foot or by bicycle. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. 'ZoTexels' is a network of private accommodations where guests can savour the authentic flavour and hospitality of Texel.

Introduce
We are the Uitgeest family, live in the countryside near the beach and the village of De Koog. We have had a flower bulb nursery since 1907, where in 2023 we will also pick tulips from the flower bulbs in the spring to sell on Texel. We also grow dahlias from cuttings to tubers, making the cuttings ourselves. We live in a wonderfully quiet spot on Texel where you can relax. We have spacious camping pitches and also a number of camping tents to stay. This way you can experience the real camping experience without owning your own camping equipment and you will sleep on comfortable beds. See you at camping Anemone!
