Location

De Cocksdorp is a cozy village in the northern part of Texel, surrounded by beautiful surroundings. Next to the village you will find the smallest forest area of the holiday island: the Krimbos. Thanks to this green area that borders the Eierlandse Duinen nature reserve, there are beautiful cycling and hiking trails. Between the Krimbos and the Eierlandse Duinen you will find the quiet farm campsite Sumatra on the premises of a horse farmer. The spacious camping pitches are sheltered, along the edge of the forest. Due to the favorable location of the farm campsite you cycle within 10 minutes through the dune area to the fantastic North Sea beach and the lighthouse. The view from the lighthouse is phenomenal.

Kein zweites Mal auf einem Bauerncampingplatz

Leider keine gute Erfahrung: Bei Ankunft keine Person vor Ort. Schlüssel für den Waschraum und Toilette in einem Schlüsselsafe den wir zunächst suchen mussten. Ein Code wurde erst nach telefonischer Rücksprache mitgeteilt. Die Fläche am Stellplatz war matschig, der Rasen ausgedünnt. Da wir auf einem Pferdehof gelandet waren, unheimlich viele Fliegen. Stellplatz lag hinter einer Hecke direkt an der Straße. Gegenüber ein Pumpgerät welches Tag und Nacht lief. Erholsamer Urlaub geht anders.

Texel is a vibrant island. There are many activities throughout the year. Unique sports events, culinary activities to the best music festivals. Of course a visit to famous scenic spots such as the Slufter nature reserve, the Lighthouse and Ecomare are more than worthwhile.
