Location
De Cocksdorp is a cozy village in the northern part of Texel, surrounded by beautiful surroundings. Next to the village you will find the smallest forest area of the holiday island: the Krimbos. Thanks to this green area that borders the Eierlandse Duinen nature reserve, there are beautiful cycling and hiking trails. Between the Krimbos and the Eierlandse Duinen you will find the quiet farm campsite Sumatra on the premises of a horse farmer. The spacious camping pitches are sheltered, along the edge of the forest. Due to the favorable location of the farm campsite you cycle within 10 minutes through the dune area to the fantastic North Sea beach and the lighthouse. The view from the lighthouse is phenomenal.
