Nature in the northern part of the Wadden island of Texel is enormously varied. Boerderijcamping Padang is located in the countryside in polder Eierland. More to the west coast, 3.5 kilometers from the campsite, you will find the nature reserves De Muy and De Slufter. Beautiful hiking trails run through this extensive dune area with salt marshes and creeks. South of Boerderijcamping Padang, in the middle of the island, is polder Waal en Burg. Here you will see meadow birds in abundance. You can also admire the nature of Texel from the air: Tessel Air organizes sightseeing flights for young and old at 3 kilometers from the campsite. The nearest village is the picturesque Oosterend.
