Camping on a farm under the light of the lighthouse
The camping site has a power supply (10 amps). The simple sanitary building consists of two showers, a sink that can be closed for more privacy, three regular sinks, four toilets and outside there are 2 washing-up areas. You can use the showers without coins. For the little ones there is a bath and changing mat. Outside there is a drain pipe for a chemical toilet.

Location
This mini campsite with 10 spots is located in the north of Texel, just outside De Cocksdorp and not far from the lighthouse. The campsite is located against the dunes, in the yard of the owners' farm. Both the North Sea beach and the Wadden beach are a few minutes' walk from the campsite. De Cocksdorp - with shops and restaurants - is approximately 1.5 kilometers away. Every evening you can enjoy the light of the Texel lighthouse that shines over the campsite.

Special about this accommodation
Minicamping Boerderij de Duinen has a bread roll service. For children there is a trampoline from 1 May to approximately 1 October, a seesaw and a spinning stick. Dairy cows are kept on the farm. Farm cheese is made from the milk of the animals. The cheeses can be purchased on site. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. 'ZoTexels' is a network of private accommodations where guests can savour the authentic flavour and hospitality of Texel.

When booking this campsite, you must indicate the type of camping equipment (maximum 1) with which you are coming to Texel (tent, folding trailer, caravan or camper) in the options. Our campsite is car-free, which means that you are only allowed on the field by car upon arrival and departure. A small sleeping tent may be placed at each camping pitch. Dogs are welcome, the host and hostess's dogs and cats also walk in the yard.

Tips from the host
The campsite is within walking distance of the Wadden beach and the North Sea beach. You can also walk to Cape North for a snack and a drink off the lighthouse. With the Wadden ferry De Vriendschap to Vlieland or watching seals is great fun to do
