This detached bungalow is located behind the owner's house in the Eierland polder, in the north of Texel. The seaside resort of De Koog is about 5 kilometers from your holiday home. Here you will find cozy terraces and restaurants and beautiful shops. The most northern village, De Cocksdorp, is 6 kilometers away. At 1.5 kilometers you will find the nature reserves De Slufter and De Muy, part of the Duinen van Texel National Park. There are many beautiful walking routes. In the immediate vicinity you will find IJsboerderij Labora (ice cream farm) and the 18-hole Golf Course De Texelse. The North Sea beach is about 4.5 kilometers away.

Schönes Haus, aber leider wurde das erholsame Urlaubsgefühl von dem lästigen Hahn, der ab 5 Uhr krähte, massiv gestört! Das sollte man in der Beschreibung erwähnen, da dies schon Einschränkungen ergibt!

Heel fijn huis met hele goede faciliteiten. Aan alles is gedacht. Het fijne was dat er een slaapkamer met badkamer beneden is, zodat mijn bejaarde ouders niet trap hoefden te lopen. 2 fijne zitjes buiten met stoelkussens. Bedden liggen prima. Vanwege de ligging veel zon in de woonkamer, maar voldoende zonwering. Ondanks de ligging bij een doorgaande weg, heel stil.

Ons verblijf in deze vakantie woning is uitstekend bevallen. Locatie is redelijk centraal gelegen en alles is goed af te fietsen. Tips: horren voor ramen maken. Veel last van muggen

Our bungalow rental has been located on the edge of De Slufter for over 50 years. Founded by Henk Hooijschuur, the third generation is now at the helm. We rent accommodations near De Slufter, but also near the Lighthouse, in the Krim area, and even in Oosterend! Our houses are unique because no two are alike. Personal contact is our top priority. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our houses!

Tips from the host

Start from restaurant De Slufter and walk under the dunes towards Cocksdorp. You'll automatically reach Oorsprongweg (the "blind path"), where you can cross the dunes on the left to the "Diepe gat" viewpoint. From there, you can walk through the Slufter back to the famous staircase. Finish with a hot chocolate at restaurant De Slufter!
