The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator, combi oven, food processor, kettle, coffee maker and Nespresso. The entire chalet has central heating. The living room has a sitting area with another gas fireplace, radio and smart TV. The chalet has its own internet (fiber optic) connection. There are two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed (160 x 200). In the other bedroom there are 2 bunk beds (80 x 200). The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. There is an indoor storage room where, among other things, the washing machine and dryer are located. The chalet has a decking terrace on the southwest. There is an enclosed garden with a terrace and garden furniture. Next to the chalet is a bicycle shed which can be locked.

Location

Holiday park De Koorn-aar is located on the edge of the Texel forest, on the west side of Texel. From the park you can walk straight into the forest, where dozens of cycling, riding and hiking trails run. The forest is part of the Duinen van Texel National Park, which runs from the southern tip to the lighthouse. Within 10 minutes you can cycle, or walk in 30 minutes, to the North Sea beach (Paal 15 or Paal 17). The largest village of Texel, Den Burg, is about 4 kilometers away and within 5 kilometers you are in the seaside resort of De Koog. In the vicinity are various attractions, such as museums, viewpoints, riding stables and an indoor swimming paradise. There are also several restaurants within walking distance of the holiday park. Due to its favorable location, the Koorn-aar is an excellent starting point for cycling and discovery trips on Texel.

A washing machine and dryer are available in the chalet. There are three bicycles at your disposal. The holiday park has many facilities: reception, launderette, recreation room, playground and sports field and bicycle rental. At the entrance of the holiday park is restaurant "Beers". Here you can buy fresh, warm rolls and a newspaper in high season. You can also pick up snacks here. Within walking distance you will also find "Restaurant Dennenoord", Pancake farm "De Catharinahoeve" and Restaurant "De Worsteltent". A recreation team is active in the summer months. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. 'ZoTexels' is a network of private accommodations where guests can savour the authentic flavour and hospitality of Texel.

Important to know

After receiving the deposit, you will receive the code for the key safe. Bring your own bed linen, towels and kitchen towels or rent them at the reception. Young people under 21 are welcome if their parents are present for the entire period. Your pet (maximum 1) is only allowed on the holiday park if kept on a leash. Final cleaning is included.

Ruhige, erholsame Unterkunft in guter Lage

Schöne Unterkunft in der es eigentlich an nichts mangelt. Lediglich einige Möbel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Küchenschränke, Spiegelschrank im Bad) und ein Großteil des Geschirrs hat Macken - dies hat unserem erholsamen Urlaub aber nicht beeinträchtigt.

Das Ferienhaus liegt in einem schönen Ferienpark, der zur Ferienzeit ein nettes Programm für die Kids bietet. Man ist in 15 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad am Strand über super tolle Fahrradwege. Alle Restaurants in der Nähe sind zu empfehlen, ein Sparmarkt ist in 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Dort gibt es auch Einen gut sortierten Fahrradverleih.

Introduce

We, the owners, of the chalet "De Nuvere Stee" have been true Texel enthusiasts for years. When the opportunity arose, we were able to buy this chalet in 2014. Because we are still in our working life, we do not always have the opportunity to go to Texel ourselves. That is why we decided that we also had to offer other people the opportunity to enjoy Texel for a long weekend, midweek or longer. The moment you get on the boat in Den Helder, the normal daily affairs fall away from you and you immediately experience the holiday feeling. We hope that other people will have a lot of fun during their holiday on Texel!

Tips from the host

Do you like walking, you cross the road and you are in the forest and you walk straight to the beach. Do you like cycling, all the landscapes of Texel can be discovered by bicycle. Museums in, for example, Den Burg, Den Hoorn and Oudeschild are worth a visit. But above all, take the time to discover the island, there is no need to rush on Texel.
