The southern part of Texel offers a lot of variety. In Den Burg, the 'capital' of the island, you can enjoy shopping and enjoy a snack or a drink in many restaurants and cafes. In Den Hoorn you will find the most photographed church on the island and the beach is not far away. Camping De Tesselse Kamping is located between Den Burg and Den Hoorn. You can enjoy a wonderful camping holiday at this small-scale farm campsite. The owners, who live in the monumental farmhouse 'De Kamp', have a dairy farm and also keep many other small animals. There is always something to see or experience. The farm also offers daytime activities for the elderly and children with care needs.

Special about this accommodation

At the campsite you can experience farm life up close. There is also a vegetable, flower and a small-scale tea garden. There is a stall selling farm produce. For the children there is a play area and a shed with small farm animals where you can cuddle. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. Deze camping is echt een aanrader voor jong en oud

We mochten over het hele bedrijf vrij rondlopen en bij het melken van de koeien gekeken, al onze vragen werden beantwoord en tijd voor genomen. Al met al een heerlijk weekje gehad bij Jacob en Jannechien. Deze camping is een aanrader voor iedereen die van dieren en de natuur houdt.

Het sanitaire wordt goed onderhouden. Als je onder de douche vandaan komt sta je meteen buiten, bij een regenbui is dat minder prettig.
