Location
Hotel Molenbos is located in the northernmost tip of Texel, near De Cocksdorp. From the hotel you can walk to the village center within a few minutes. You will find several restaurants, a bicycle rental and nice shops. The Krimbos and the Eierland Dunes are located around De Cocksdorp. There are many beautiful cycling and walking routes in the immediate vicinity. De Cocksdorp is also an ideal environment for bird watchers. Less than 4 kilometers away is the most famous island symbol: the Texel lighthouse. Opposite the hotel you will find Golf Course De Texelse and Holiday Park De Krim.

You can also visit the cozy hotel bar with an excellent drinks & bites menu. The hotel has a spacious parking lot with a charging point for electric cars. Hotel Molenbos also has a bicycle shed with charging points for e-bikes. As a guest of Hotel Molenbos you receive a 30% discount on green fees at Golf Course De Texelse and you can use (sometimes for a fee) the facilities of Holiday Park De Krim. Here you will find, among other things, a bowling alley and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. After an exploration of Texel, you can enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening in restaurant 't Hanenhuus at the golf course, 500 meters from the hotel. The kitchen brigade naturally uses real Texel products. Some ingredients are freshly picked from our own garden!

My name is Maikel, hotel manager at Hotel Molenbos. Our hotel is located on the edge of De Cocksdorp, the youngest village on Texel. In and around De Cocksdorp you can enjoy the peace and space that Texel offers. You can rent bicycles from us and go out. One of my favorite places to get a breath of fresh air is the long beach at the Lighthouse, just a few kilometers from the hotel. Here you have the most beautiful view and you can take a nice walk on the beach in peace. And when you are there, I recommend that you also visit the Lighthouse from the inside where you can view all the remains of the old Lighthouse.
