This attractive farmhouse is located in a quiet spot in the iconic area De Hoge Berg, between Den Burg and Oudeschild. Within 10 minutes you can cycle into the cozy village center of Den Burg with special shops, many restaurants, a cinema and terraces. Fancy going to the beach? A Wadden beach is a 5-minute bike ride away. The fantastic North Sea beach is 8 kilometers away. In the immediate vicinity there are beautiful cycling routes through the fields and towards Oudeschild. You can enjoy lovely walks in the cultural-historical surroundings of this house with authentic tuunwalls and sheep pens. Close by you will find the Texel beer brewery and the Zelfpluktuin. The Dunes of Texel National Park is located on the west coast, with an extensive forest and dune area.

You can rent a fjord horse on site and take a covered wagon ride in a unique carriage. You can bring multiple dogs. More than three dogs in consultation. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. Bring your own bed linen. Tip: bring a flashlight. Bringing horses is possible on request. There is a stable/pasture available. You can use this for an additional fee. You must clear the stable/pasture yourself. Experienced riders can rent a Fjord horse or Shetland pony. There are conditions attached to this, such as wearing a helmet. A marathon cart with coachman can also be rented.

Tips from the host

It is beautiful to look at the starry sky, it is quite dark here. It is special to walk to the Wadden beach Ceres in the evening. Or a little further to Oudeschild. It is only 300 meters across the country. Sometimes the land is under management and that means no entry. But it is also easy to walk around.
