The small-scale Bungalowpark Gortersmient is located on the edge of the forest, on the west side of Texel. You can walk straight into the forest from the park. This is part of the Duinen van Texel National Park, which runs from the southern tip to the lighthouse. An extensive network of cycling, driving and hiking trails runs through this vast nature reserve. The beach is 10 minutes by bike. The largest village of Texel, Den Burg, is 3.5 km away and the seaside resort of De Koog is 4 km away. In the area you will find some restaurants and sights.

Schönes Haus, sauber. .sehr ruhig gelegen

Das Haus war sauber u ordentlich. Einzig die Kaffeemaschine war defekt. Es wurde aber ohne Nachfeage direkt eine neue angeboten (wir haben die Woche dann oldschool selbst Kaffee aufgeschüttet)

Tips from the host

When you walk down the park and cross the road, you are in the middle of the forest. This pine forest is centrally located between the bustling seaside resort of De Koog and the pleasant shopping heart of Texel, Den Burg. If you like walking and cycling, you can indulge yourself in this part of the island. There are also beautiful mountain bike trails scattered criss-cross through this forest.
