Location

The small-scale Bungalowpark Gortersmient is located on the edge of the forest, on the west side of Texel. You can walk straight into the forest from the park. This is part of the Duinen van Texel National Park, which runs from the southern tip to the lighthouse. An extensive network of cycling, driving and hiking trails runs through this vast nature reserve. The beach is 10 minutes by bike. The largest village of Texel, Den Burg, is 3.5 km away and the seaside resort of De Koog is 4 km away. In the area you will find some restaurants and sights.

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Renovierung gut vertragen. ( Z.B. Türen verkratzt, am Tisch löst sich das Funier, Lampen funktionieren nicht, Matratzen waren in die Jahre gekommen, Fenster waren fast blind, 2 Korbstühle draußen waren sehr unbenutzbar) Die Reinigung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Wir werden auf jedenfall nach Texel wieder kommen, aber in eine andere Unterkunft.

Net en knus huisje

Het was een nette en schone woning met genoeg ruimte eromheen. Het huis zelf was wat klein voor 4 volwassenen, 2 kinderen en een baby en 9 uur uitchecken is wel vroeg maar verder niet echt iets groots. De ligging van het huisje is fijn, vlakbij eetgelegenheden, strand, de koog en den burg. Alles is wel op korte fietsafstand en een wandeling kan ook goed direct naast het park

Fijn maar klein

Op zich hebben we het naar ons zin gehad in dit huisje met ruime tuin, beschut gelegen. Maar voor zes personen vinden we het echt te krap! Vier volwassenen, een jongetje van acht en een puber van zestien aan een kleine eettafel, met een badkamer met één douche en toilet: wij vonden het behelpen en op vakantie moet dat eigenlijk niet…. Vier volwassenen maximaal, of een ouderpaar met twee kinderen, dat is het eerlijke verhaal naar ons idee.

Of course, a visit to famous spots like the Slufter nature reserve, the lighthouse, and Ecomare is more than worth it. But there are many more places to discover.
