By bike you are on the beach within 5 minutes. Two riding stables, a miniature golf and a subtropical swimming paradise are located nearby. Nature reserve De Muy is in the vicinity. Duinen van Texel National Park borders De Koog. This protected nature reserve runs from the lighthouse to the southern tip. Beautiful cycling and walking routes run through it.
