Amalia farmers camp site is rurally located in the Prins Hendrikpolder, in the south of Texel. The polder is the first part of the island that you will see when you come off the ferry. You camp at a real livestock farm with about 70 dairy cows and 40 young stock. Sheep and goats are also kept to make things complete. The nearest village is Den Hoorn. Typical of the picturesque village are the cozy, picturesque streets, beautiful buildings and the famous reformed church that immediately catches the eye on arrival with its distinctive white turret. Although the village is not a seaside resort, you can reach the beach in a short walk from Den Hoorn. The nature reserves De Geul and De Hors are in the vicinity.
