Den Burg is the largest village on Texel: about half of the inhabitants of Texel live there. It is therefore not surprising that it is a lively village where there is plenty to do. You can go to the cozy village center to shop in well-known chain stores and special shops. In between you can of course enjoy a cup of coffee with a delicious Texel pastry at one of the many restaurants. A visit to the Texel Oudheidkamer is also fun. This museum is located in one of the oldest houses in Den Burg. A stone's throw from cozy Den Burg, but in an oasis of peace and privacy and with a view as far as De Waal, is the Texelsun mini-campsite. The mini camping site is in a quiet, rural location on a cycling and walking route, making it an ideal base for discovering Texel's nature. The camping pitches are divided over two fields and offer a wide view. The beautiful nature reserves of Waalenburg and the Hoge Berg are in the immediate vicinity.
