Rural and quietly located holiday home near the Wadden Sea

The living room has a sitting area and a dining area. The open kitchen has a refrigerator with freezer and a microwave. The bathroom has a shower. There is a separate toilet. There are two bedrooms on the top floor. The first bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has two single children's beds (80x190 cm). For the little ones you can borrow a camping bed from us. The holiday home has a south-facing terrace. You can relax at the large picnic table with a view of nature.

Location

The nature house is located a hundred meters from the World Heritage Wadden Sea. The Wadden side of Texel exudes a completely different atmosphere, no tourist crowds but an oasis of peace and space. The semi-detached nature house is located in a farmhouse and offers a splendid view over the countryside. A cycle route over the dike takes you past various special nature reserves that form an important breeding and foraging place for countless birds. On the way to the fishing village of Oudeschild there is a beach where you can take a refreshing dip in the salty water. The holiday home is 1 kilometer from picturesque Oosterend. The historic village has a supermarket, bicycle rental and a number of cozy restaurants. In front of our door is a stop of the Texelhopper that takes you to and from the ferry.

Fijne plek!

Wij hebben genoten van de rust en ruimte om ons heen. Huisje ligt helemaal vrij open afstand van Oosterend. Huisje is compleet en er is ruimte om fietsen te stallen. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer.

Introduce

Josine works as a general practitioner on Texel and is a former tropical doctor at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Ton is a photographer & illustrator and makes photo and picture books. Before that, he was country and crisis coordinator at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for many years. In 2020 they sold their home-built houseboat in Amsterdam and, together with their two children Pieke & Coco, settled on the island of Texel.
