This detached holiday home is located just outside De Cocksdorp, the most northern village of Texel and borders the Krimbos. In and around the village you will find a number of extensive specialty shops, restaurants and bicycle rental. From your holiday home you can cycle to the lighthouse in 10 minutes. The beach around the lighthouse is impressively wide and offers a great view of the Wadden and North Sea. Seals regularly lie on the waterfront. Nature reserve De Slufter is 5.5 kilometers away. In the vicinity you will find golf course De Texelse, Ice farm Labora, paracenter and airport.

The holiday home is equipped with climate control, pleasantly cool in summer and wonderfully warm in winter. For children there is a playground with a climbing frame, slide and swings. The playground equipment is shared with the De Vuurtorenwachter holiday home. The Postschipper has its own parking space with a charging station. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. Important to know
There is a walking path from De Postschipper directly to the Krimbos, which connects to the network of walking and cycling paths. It is possible to walk to Paal 28 (North Sea) without crossing the public road. On www.texelhopper.nl and www.teso.nl you will find more information about public transport on Texel. The nearest Texelhopper stop is 200 meters from the holiday home.

Tips from the host
To make your Texel holiday complete, we recommend that you take a look at 'Achter diek' every day at the same time. Climb the wide staircase at the end of Kikkertstraat and enjoy the vastness of the Wadden Sea. At this place the Post Skipper received the mail from Amsterdam and left with his mail vlet to Vlieland. Experience the hourly time difference of the tide every day, and see how different the sea can be with the waves and in color and scent.
