Introduce

My work as a nurse in the Netherlands, but also through Doctors Without Borders in many distant countries, has taught me how important it is to have a place where you can relax. I found that place on Texel, where I can still enjoy the walks and bike rides that you can make there so beautifully. Or go out with the viewer, looking for the spoonbills, avocets and godwits on the mudflats and along the bird promenade. Then come back to the nice house, and drink a Texel beer in the sun on the terrace, which lies in the wonderfully sheltered garden. I also wish my guests those experiences. I therefore think it is important that guests can feel at home in the house; I do my best to let it radiate warmth and hospitality. That is why the house also has a personal touch, and guests are free to use the varied CD and DVD collection, for example.
