Location
This holiday home is located in the quiet bungalow park Slufterduin, close to De Slufter. The most famous nature reserve on Texel is in open connection with the sea, which means that salt water flows right through the area and special plants grow that can withstand salt. The bungalow park is playfully designed, with different types of homes and small winding paths. You can walk to the beach in 20 minutes through De Slufter. From your holiday address it is 6 kilometers to De Cocksdorp, the northernmost village on Texel. The seaside resort of De Koog is also 6 km away by bike, but then to the south. Beautiful cycle routes through the dunes lead to both villages and you will find shops, terraces and restaurants there. In the immediate vicinity you will find a restaurant (750m) and various attractions, such as the airport, parachuting center and Labora ice cream farm.

Introduce
Our bungalow rental has been located on the edge of De Slufter for over 50 years. Founded by Henk Hooijschuur, the third generation is now at the helm. We rent accommodations near De Slufter, but also near the Lighthouse, in the Krim area, and even in Oosterend! Our houses are unique because no two are alike. Personal contact is our top priority. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our houses!
Tips from the host
Start from restaurant De Slufter and walk under the dunes towards Cocksdorp. You'll automatically reach Oorsprongweg (the "blind path"), where you can cross the dunes on the left to the "Diepe gat" viewpoint. From there, you can walk through the Slufter back to the famous staircase. Finish with a hot chocolate at restaurant De Slufter!
