This detached holiday home is quietly located on the yard of farm De Oorsprong, in the middle of Polder Eierland in the northern part of Texel. De Oorsprong lies between farmlands with cows and sheep. A holiday on this part of the island means getting some fresh air and spotting birds. The Waddendijk (wadden dike) is 2 kilometers from your holiday home. Along the dike there are various special nature reserves that form an important breeding and foraging place for countless birds. De Cocksdorp is 5 kilometers away. In the cozy village center you will find the Vogelinformatiecentrum (bird information center), a few shops and various restaurants. Nature reserve De Slufter is located in the vicinity.

Fantastisch weekend met de lammetjes, kalfjes en andere dieren.

De douche had weinig kracht en niet erg warm. Verder fantastisch gehad. De meiden konden vrij rond lopen op de boerderij en we hebben zelfs geholpen met de lammetjes. Erg genoten!

Extremen..... -vriendelijke eigenaar (bracht zelfs oliebollen). -rustige ligging. -Keuken, woonkamer, badkamer, wc, alles waar voldoende schoon. -Gordijnen en ook matrassen toonden vochtplekken. -warmwatervoorziening defect. -enkele lampen defect. -buitenkant huisje is wel nodig aan onderhoud toe, (houtrot, verf en tochtstrippen). -deels enkelglas. -tocht in hal door slechte/geen afdichting

Texel is a vibrant island. There are many activities throughout the year. Unique sports events, culinary activities to the best music festivals. Of course a visit to famous scenic spots such as the Slufter nature reserve, the Lighthouse and Ecomare are more than worthwhile.
