This detached holiday home is situated in a rural location at a farm on the west side of the Wadden island of Texel. The vast forest and dune area is only 1 kilometer away. Through this area with dunes, valleys, heathlands and a varied pine and deciduous forest, beautiful cycling and walking trails. In De Bollenkamer nature reserve - between the Hoornderslag and Jan Ayeslag roads - you can walk between exmoor ponies and Scottish highlanders. From your holiday home you can cycle to the wide North Sea beach within 10 minutes. South of your holiday home you will find the picturesque Den Hoorn. The cozy streets and the reformed church with white tower are typical of the village.

Special about this accommodation
You have your own driveway and parking space. A children's camp bed is available. Bed and bath linen is included, extra on request. This holiday home has underfloor heating. There is a lockable bicycle shed. There are three additional terraces: one by the garden house, one by the chicken coop and one by the pond. You can get your own eggs from the chicken coop every morning. This is a ‘ZoTexels’ accommodation. 'ZoTexels' is a network of private accommodations where guests can savour the authentic flavour and hospitality of Texel.

Important to know
The holiday villa is located next to the farm which can be visited by guests. Sheep, goats, chickens and pigs are kept on the farm. You will also find De Texelse Boerderijwinkel on site for delicious Texel products. There is also a farm campsite behind the stable.

Introduce
We - Ido, Pytsje, Fardau and Rixt - have been living at Schapenboerderij Westerweg with our family since April 2021. Farmer Ido manages the sheep breeding farm with real purebred Texel, white, pied and badger heads. Ido is a fanatic about the sheep inspections and the prizes won can be admired in the barn. Pytsje arranges the campsite, Wambinghe holiday home and the Texel Farm Shop. Daughters Fardau (8) and Rixt (6) also love the animals on our farm. If you would like to visit the stable, you are very welcome through the entrance of the store. Our Texel Farm Shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In our store you will find genuine Texel products such as dairy, mustard, ice cream, potatoes, Wezenspyk cheese and our own meat. We are extra proud of Weespyk cheese as we manage the farm together with them. You are very welcome with a tent, caravan or camper. If you come with the camper, we request that you leave the camper as much as possible because we do not have a paved floor. Pets are also very welcome.
