The Mill House Beaufort is entirely on one floor, with an attractive wooden roof on the inside. From the outside a completely authentic farmhouse. Light on the inside, slightly industrial and rural, and surprisingly spacious. Spacious living room with sitting area, wood stove and smart TV. Fully equipped kitchen/diner. The bedroom has a king-size double bed and a view of the landscape through the glass front. You can also sleep in the box bed with a comfortable bed and French doors. How cozy and romantic can you have it! The bathroom has a sink, large rain shower and an illuminated whirlpool bath with jets. From the living room you enter the large glass front through French doors onto the wooden terrace spanning the entire length of the house. The large garden is completely fenced.

This detached mill house is located on the Wadden side of the holiday island of Texel, directly at the Molen Het Noorden on the Wad. A unique place with plenty of peace and space. The cottage overlooks the neighboring East hamlet, which is home to one of the best restaurants on the island. In fifteen minutes you cycle to the picturesque village of Oosterend, one of the most beautiful old villages on Texel. Golfclub De Texelse is a 10-minute bike ride away. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy cycling, walking, bird watching and enjoy a beautiful view of the Wadden Sea. Enjoy the most beautiful sunsets here in the evening and the beautiful starry sky at night.

All glass fronts are equipped with electric sun blinds and insect screen sliding doors. There is WiFi and also a fixed internet connection with a fast connection. Important to know

The accommodation is not available for rent for young people under 24 years old. Beds are made upon arrival and towels are included. The bathroom can only be reached via the 'master bedroom'. The garden is large and extends almost to the mill. The owners live in the adjacent house.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach wunderschön. Das Haus war nicht nur super gemütlich, sondern auch klasse eingerichtet, was eine warme und einladende Atmosphäre schuf. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft war grandios, ein echtes Spektakel, das uns jeden Morgen begrüßte. Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit unserer Erfahrung. Die Umgebung war super ruhig, was für eine entspannende und erfrischende Pause vom Alltag sorgte. Wir können es kaum erwarten, zurückzukehren!

Introduce

Welcome to ZoWad! Since a year we live: Jet, Robert and dog Moetje, permanently in this beautiful place. Jet already had roots on the island (family), Robert found this more than unique place that made us 'emigrate' to Texel. Dog Moetje has been there from the start and a really sweet friend to everyone. ZoWad starts with Molenhuisje Beaufort that we had built, fitting in with the landscape, near Texel, in the history and at the mill. Later, a B&B room will be added in our house, next to Molenhuisje Beaufort. And so we are happy to continue building our most beautiful spot on the island, which we are happy to share with you!

Tips from the host

Within walking distance you will find one of the best restaurants on Texel, in the East hamlet. It is already mentioned in the Michelin guide. Furthermore, the cottage is a 10-minute drive from the 18-hole international golf course De Texelse and you can cycle along the sea, over the dike to the fishing village of Oudeschild with the beautiful museum Kaap Skil, or to, for example, the lighthouse. For example, you can also endlessly roam the mudflats with our neighbour, who is a nature guide, (learn to) watch birds, and even moths if you are really fanatic. Or you can walk behind the house via a dike onto the Wad to collect oysters and eat them at home with a bottle of white wine. Here it is rest and enjoy!
