IVN Children's lecture Birds on the mudflats
Tuesday, 3 January 2023 Allert Bijleveld, scientist at NIOZ, is coming to the library. He is coming to give a lecture for primary school children aged 8 and up about birds on the mud flats. At NIOZ, research is done on the Wadden Sea. Allert is coming to tell what these birds live on. The knot, dunlin, red-tailed godwit and sanderling can often be seen on the mudflats, but then their favourite food must also be there. This lecture is organised by the Nature Association IVN Texel in cooperation with the library and is aimed at curious children aged 8 to 12. Time: 10:00 to 11:30 am. Participation is free of charge. There is a public library on Texel. This is located in Den Burg. Facilities You can use various facilities at the library on Texel. For example, wifi, computers, printing and/or copying facilities for a small fee, work/study places and there is a reading table. For tourists Tourists can borrow books and other materials with the holiday pass. This pass is valid for 4 weeks and you can borrow 10 books at a time. How nice is that! So you don't have to carry your books in your suitcase. You must bring your ID with you when registering.
