Book launch day in the library
Saturday 24 May 2025 BookStart Day in Texel Library: music, reading aloud and Vos! On Saturday 24 May, Texel Library will participate in the national BookStart Day. From 10:00 to 12:00, the youngest children and their (grand)parents are very welcome for a festive morning full of music and books. This year's theme is music. The morning starts with a performance by the Artex children's choir, followed by the workshop 'With music on your lap' by music teacher Jenneke Gerritsen. There will be reading aloud and you can have your picture taken with the well-known book character Vos. - Location: Texel Library, Den Burg - Participation is free, registration is not required A low-threshold and musical outing for young children and their families!

There is a public library on Texel. This is located in Den Burg. Facilities You can use various facilities at the library on Texel. For example, wifi, computers, printing and/or copying facilities for a small fee, work/study places and there is a reading table. For tourists Tourists can borrow books and other materials with the holiday pass. This pass is valid for 4 weeks and you can borrow 10 books at a time. How nice is that! So you don't have to carry your books in your suitcase. You must bring your ID with you when registering.
