Are you going on a bird safari? During this tour, led by bird expert Klaas de Jong, you will visit several impressive nature reserves on Texel and receive information about the birds present. You will be picked up by the Bird Safari Bus from your holiday address (on Texel) or from the boat. PLEASE NOTE: please provide your holiday address on Texel when filling in the details when booking this excursion. We will go for a walk and see the most beautiful birds that Texel currently has to offer! Various Zeiss binoculars are available for loan. Please note: a minimum number of 2 participants applies to this excursion. If there are too few participants or bad weather, you will be informed in advance whether the excursion can take place. Location
You will be picked up by the Vogelsafaribus. This leaves De Cocksdorp half an hour before the start of the bird safari. It is nice if you are ready half an hour (north), fifteen minutes (De Koog, Oosterend, De Waal, Den Burg) or five minutes in advance (Oudeschild, Den Hoorn, ferry port). If the pick-up time deviates significantly from this general indication, you will receive an email prior to the bird safari. At Calidris bird safaris you can look for birds with guide Klaas. Bird safari bus Going on a bird safari with bird expert Klaas de Jong from Calidris is a unique experience. Klaas, winner of the television program "In the ban of the Condor", organizes small-scale excursions of half a day or a full day. This way you are guaranteed to learn more about the bird species that live on Texel and there is a chance that you will see many different species. Klaas will pick you up with his bird safari bus from your holiday address on Texel or at the boat. By bus you will visit various bird-rich nature reserves on Texel, where you will receive an explanation about the birds you see there.
