Day of the Wadden Sea - breakfast on the Wadden Sea dike
Saturday, June 27, 2026 This year marks the 17th anniversary of UNESCO declaring the Wadden Sea a World Heritage Site. We're celebrating this on June 27th during Wadden Sea Day. We'll be recognizing the uniqueness of this area by enjoying breakfast on the Wadden Sea dike at various locations throughout the Wadden Sea region. Along with other Wadden Sea enthusiasts, you'll sample the most delicious Wadden Sea products in a truly unique setting, all while overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage site. Breakfast on the dike will be provided by Jacqueline from de Soepketel and Sabien from STAAL-catering. After breakfast, you can explore the area around the dike with a guide from the Wadden Sea Association. Would you like to join us for breakfast? Breakfast is now fully booked. Staal catering is a catering company located in Den Burg Catering Do you have a party, wedding or other event? Staal catering takes care of all your catering needs. Mediterranean cooking is done, but French cuisine is also no problem for chef Sabien Bosman. Sabien also cooks a lot with local Texel products. Buffets, small snacks or an extensive lunch, everything is possible. Home delivery At Staal catering it is possible to have food delivered to your home. If desired, it can be delivered warm. Excursions In addition to catering, Sabien also provides Groene Strand expeditions and Zilte walks/tastings.
