Climbing the church tower
Climb the tower of church building 'De Burght' in Den Burg. A steep climb over narrow steps, past the old clockwork, on the way to a view that is more than worth it. High from the church tower, Den Burg unfolds like a model in a vast landscape surrounded by the sea. In the church building 'De Burght', you can also view the exhibition on religious heritage on Texel and take an audio tour of the church hall. Opening hours: from mid-April to the end of October on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm, weather permitting only.

De Burght kerk
The large church that you can already see in the wider area of Den Burg is De Burgt church. This is the church of the Protestant congregation. A service is held here on Sundays, the church is also used as a location for events. Climbing the church tower In the summer months, the church tower is open on certain days. From the high tower you get a beautiful view over Den Burg and the surrounding landscape. Event venue The church is regularly the stage for exhibitions, performances and memorial services.
